Enterprise Architecture Measurement · Transformation readiness

Is the architecture strong enough for the transformation you are planning?

An assessment of the quality of your enterprise architecture models, and, where code is in reach, of how far the implemented architecture has drifted from the intended one. Measured with our instruments and read by senior architects, so the readiness question is answered on evidence before budget and people are committed.

What you get

The model, the reality, and the gap between them

[ 01 / MODEL ]

Model quality, measured

Standardised, objective measurements of your EA repository: structure, consistency, completeness and adherence to good practice, comparable across domains and over time.

[ 02 / DRIFT ]

Intended versus implemented

Where repository access exists, the dependencies, boundaries and layering in the code are measured and set against the intended architecture, and the gap is tracked as it moves.

[ 03 / READ ]

Expert assessment

Senior enterprise architects interpret the measurements in the context of your transformation, adding what pure metrics cannot capture.

[ 04 / DECIDE ]

A readiness verdict

What the architecture can carry today, what has to change first, and the evidence behind both, for the programme decision in front of you.

How it runs

From repository to readiness

01 EXTRACT

Your repository, as it is

We extract the models from your EA tooling. LeanIX, ArchiMate and Archi are supported today; other repositories are added on request.

02 MEASURE

Instruments, not questionnaires

The models are measured on a solution-independent quality model, and where code is in reach, the implemented architecture is measured alongside them. Expert configuration is typically needed, and not every technology is supported; we say which.

03 ASSESS

Senior architects read the result

The measurements are interpreted against your transformation goals, with the people who own the architecture.

04 REPORT

Findings and a readiness verdict

A written assessment and a readout with the leadership that has to decide.

Who it is for

Those who have to commit to a transformation

CIOs and transformation leaders
The readiness question answered on evidence before the programme starts, and the architecture risks that could derail it.
Enterprise architects
Objective measurement of the models they maintain, and the drift between model and code made visible and trackable.
Programme and portfolio boards
A basis for sequencing: what the architecture can carry now and what must change first.
Next step

Start with the transformation in front of you

Tell us which transformation you are planning and which EA tooling you use. We will propose scope and timeline for the assessment, and whether measuring the implemented architecture is feasible for your technology stack.

Questions

What people ask before they start

We use LeanIX. Do you replace it?

No. Your EA tooling stays the system of record. Claroview measures what is in it and how it relates to the code, so the measurement is quality assurance on top of the investment you have already made.

Can the drift measurement run continuously?

Yes, as part of Software Portfolio Assurance: the code side is measured weekly, and the architecture comparison joins the quarterly review once the portfolio is baselined.

Which EA tools and languages are supported?

LeanIX, ArchiMate and Archi for the models. For the implemented architecture, support depends on the technology; we confirm it during scoping.
