What we collect, why, and your rights
Who we are
Claroview ApS is a private limited company registered in Denmark. We provide digital asset measurement, governance and consulting services.
If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, you can reach us at [email protected].
What we collect
We keep data collection to a minimum. Here is what we may collect and why:
Website analytics
Our website is served through Cloudflare, which collects anonymous, aggregated analytics such as page views, country of origin and browser type. This data cannot be used to identify you personally.
Live chat
We use Crisp to provide live chat support on our website. If you start a chat conversation, Crisp may collect your name and email address (if you choose to provide them) along with the chat transcript. You are never required to provide personal information to use the chat.
LinkedIn Insight Tag
If you accept LinkedIn advertising cookies, we load LinkedIn’s Insight Tag. It tells LinkedIn which of our pages you visited and when, and what you clicked on them (the button or link, its text and where it sits on the page), together with technical details such as your browser and IP address. If you are signed in to LinkedIn, LinkedIn can link the visit to your LinkedIn account. We use it to measure how our LinkedIn campaigns perform and to show our ads to people who have visited our site. LinkedIn gives us reports and audiences in aggregate only; it does not tell us who you are.
This data goes to LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, which uses it under its own privacy policy. That policy also describes when LinkedIn transfers data outside the EU.
Contact form
If you contact us through our website contact form, we collect your name, email address and the content of your message so that we can respond to your enquiry. We use Cloudflare Turnstile as a privacy-focused, user-friendly CAPTCHA alternative.
Why we collect it
We process personal data under the following lawful bases as defined by the GDPR:
- Legitimate interest: anonymous website analytics help us understand how our site is used and improve it.
- Consent: when you voluntarily provide your information via live chat or our contact form, you consent to us using that data to respond to you.
- Consent: the live chat and LinkedIn cookies are only set after you accept them in our cookie banner, and you can withdraw that consent at any time.
Cookies
We would like to meet you on more than one platform, and like most of the web we do that with industry-standard technology based on cookie dough. Here is exactly what is in the jar:
- Essential: one cookie, cv_cookies, that remembers your cookie choice for a year. It is always set once you choose, because otherwise we would have to ask you on every page.
- Live chat (optional): cookies set by the Crisp chat widget, to keep your chat conversation going between pages.
- LinkedIn advertising (optional): cookies set by LinkedIn’s Insight Tag, which is an advertising and tracking technology. See the LinkedIn cookie policy for the cookies it uses.
Nothing optional is loaded until you say yes, and saying no costs you nothing: the site works exactly the same. You can change your mind at any time on the cookie consent page.
How we protect your data
- All traffic to our website is encrypted via SSL/TLS.
- We use trusted third-party processors (Cloudflare, Crisp) who maintain their own security standards.
- We never sell or rent your personal data. We share it with a third party for marketing only if you accept LinkedIn advertising cookies, and then only as described above.
Third-party services
- Cloudflare: website delivery and analytics. Cloudflare privacy policy
- Crisp: live chat support. Crisp privacy policy
- LinkedIn: campaign measurement and advertising, only with your consent. LinkedIn privacy policy
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: you can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification: you can ask us to correct any inaccurate data.
- Erasure: you can ask us to delete your personal data.
- Restriction: you can ask us to restrict how we process your data.
- Portability: you can request your data in a portable format.
- Objection: you can object to our processing of your data.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.
Data retention
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy. Chat transcripts and contact form submissions are retained for a reasonable period to allow us to follow up and provide support. Data collected through the LinkedIn Insight Tag is held by LinkedIn under its own privacy policy. You can request deletion of your data at any time.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page.
